The city that has carried the wisdom of centuries: timeless Istanbul.
This ongoing project began in 2007 and has grown over nearly two decades. It reflects the unique story of Istanbul, a city that has been home to many cultures for centuries while its majestic silhouette has remained unchanged.
The focus is on the emotional value of the images, setting aside any sense of time. Rather than presenting the modern face of Istanbul, the series turns to the city’s back streets, its historical quarters and its melancholic character, paying tribute to its inhabitants through their portraits.

2007’de başlayan bu proje, yaklaşık yirmi yıldır büyümeye devam ediyor. Yüzyıllardır pek çok kültüre ev sahipliği yapmış, görkemli silüeti ise hiç değişmemiş İstanbul’un eşsiz hikâyesini yansıtıyor.
Odak noktası, zaman duygusunu bir kenara bırakarak fotoğrafların duygusal değeri. Seri, İstanbul’un modern yüzünü göstermek yerine şehrin arka sokaklarına, tarihî semtlerine ve hüzünlü karakterine yöneliyor; sakinlerine de portreleriyle saygı duruyor.
